Weekend of Fun with the Stones Grandkids

Playing in the hot tub with Grandpa
Ummm! Those donuts were good!

Hannah loves to be outdoors!
These two little pumkins love each other!

We were so excited to be able to babysit Liberty and Hannah this past weekend. We had a great time going to Dairy Queen, eating donuts at the Pumpkin Festival and playing in the hot tub.

Jack Ansel Liddell was born at 11:21 am September 24th weighing in at 6 lbs. 10 ozs. and was 19 1/2 inches long. He looks like Anna with lots of dark hair. Almost a pound bigger than any of his siblings at birth, Jack is a great sleeper much to Jeanette's delight. Abi, Anna and Porter love their baby brother and Grandpa Thornock kind of likes his namesake as well. As a matter of fact we've all decided we'll keep him. Good job Jesse and Jeanette!

Tag You're It!

I've Been Randomly Tagged
I haven't played tag since I was a kid, but I figure that I'll always be a kid at heart, so here goes...The "Random Thing" Tag Rules...1. You link back to the person who tagged you.2. Post these rules on your blog3. Share six random things about yourself4. Tag six random people at the end of your entry5. Let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs6. Enjoy the results.
Random Thought #1
I don't like dandelions or any other weed messing up our pretty lawn. I've tried spraying to get rid of them but they don't go away instantly, so I've decided that there's nothing like digging out a dandelion! Besides it's a good way to work out your frustrations.
Random Thought #2
I really enjoy planting a garden and then sharing the produce with my friends! Everyone thinks I am so talented but it's really not so hard. You just have to water, keep the weeds out and buy a house where the previous owners worked long and hard to produce good soil!
Random Thought #3
I really like my kids and their spouses! It is so much fun to spend time with them and their children. Our grandchildren are so cute and they along with their parents bring us so much joy!
Random Thought #4
I really like being organized! Sometimes I just need time all by myself so that I can organize my self and my home. I am much happier when I am able to do this because I feel much more in control of my life!
Random Thought #5
I am so glad that we bought a big enough house so that friends and relatives can come to visit! I love it when they come, it's so much fun to renew our friendships!
Random Thought #6
I love creating cards and sending them to people. It is fun to surprise people by remembering special occasions, especially when they least expect it!

Okay now I get to tag 6 people. Jana Quigley, Jeanette, Erin, Laurel, Kristen, Marie, and Janeal you're it!
Family Campout
This past week we had the opportunity to go camping up at the Spruces - close enough that everyone could come and go as necessary but far enough away to spend time together out in the woods! We had a great time. Not much sleep, lots of good food, games, hikes, lots of food, trips to the bathroom, running to save a kid from the fire pit, and did I say lots of good food! We've had lots of good times in our old tent trailer and now we've added another memory to the list. We've got the best kids and grandkids and love spending time with them.

Life continues to be crazy but we're having fun for the most part along the way. This past weekend we enjoyed the July Jamboree here in Cedar City. It's a huge big car rally and show. We entered Zurl's 57 in a car show for the first time and enjoyed a long but fun day!

Cedar City Thornocks

Hey everyone out there! I've been checking out your blogs and LOVE IT! so I'm starting my own. We'll see if I can do it! I love showing off the kids and grandkids so here goes!
We've been in Cedar City for almost two years. We love it when you come to visit us, whoever you are! We have had lot's of visitors and we'd love to see those of you who haven't come yet.
Zurl works for ADB Bank, is President Elect of the Chamber of Commerce, and is serving as Bishop in our ward. Yes, he's busy but doing good things. I just started a full time job, (I got tired of being alone all the time) working at a Care and Rehabilitiation Center. I work in the office and although it's been a real adjustment working full time, I like it. I took the job because it appeared that the boss would work with me so that I won't have to miss all the Bishops wife, kids and grandkids things. So far so good after just one month.
We love living in Cedar but we miss being close to our kids and grandkids. We find every opportunity we can to see them! They have been good to come see us and we make it to Taylorsville once in a while. Nate and Cindy have been living in our home in Taylorsville and now that Nate has graduated from the University of Utah and is working as an Engineer, they are buying the home. It's hard to sell but at least it's staying in the family!
I'm new at this blog thing so I'll be figuring out how to do the pictures, etc in the next few days. Right now it's time to go take my Sunday afternoon nap. Take care! We love you!
